the dream was calm
I was by my self
on the ground
when I suddenly saw a
light
far away
I ran
towards it
but it got father away
and soon
I lost it

      Harrison Bergeron was this dystopia society that was set in 2081. I just have a few questions. If the beautiful people wore masks all the time, then what did the average person look like? How could General Glampers come to the stage so quickly  and shoot them both down so fast? Is this how the entire world worked now?  Wouldn't the people who had no handicaps feel bad about themselves when they see the people with impairments? And think "Oh they are brilliant, that's why they have more handicaps than me."  They tried to make everyone that was good at something, average at it.       This story reminds me of the book "The Giver. " They are similar because both stories governments have tried to make people equal to one another. In each one there is a main character who tries to fight against the government. Jonas' rebellion lasted long than Harrison's, but nonetheless...

Title: California  Lawmakers Consider How To Regulate Homeschools After Abuse Discovery By: Benjamin Purper The  article  about some of the regulations the Californian government made regarding homeschooling. The changes came after abuse was found in a family of 13 children. The first few bills to reform it were met with hesitation. Further down the road, Susan Eggman made a bill that had a bigger effect on the issue than the ones before hers. The changes her bill wanted to make were home inspections, credentialing teachers, and setting specific curriculums. I agree with this article. I agree because the changes they were trying to make were good and would help keep homeschooled kids safe. I choose this article because I honestly don't know much about this issue but wanted to learn more about it.  I got to the website by googling political issue and clicking the first thing that popped up.

     Sarah is a very inactive girl. Whenever her parents ask her to do something, she makes up some excuse to get out of it. Sarah always stays inside her house and does nothing. Her parents fear she isn't getting enough exercise, as she weighs almost 300 pounds. They try and try to make her do sports or go running, but she always refuses. One day, at Sarah's school, they have an event called Jump Rope for Heart. At first, Sarah thinks its stupid, but then she starts jumping. She then drops one hundred pounds and starts eating healthy. The End.
